Rules:
1) ball must be hit up above
height of head
2) ball must bounce 1st before
being hit
3) hit alternate shots with
partner
Cues:
-
stay low, hit off flat platform,
arms extended, extend legs when contacting ball
Simplify:
-
make target area (ie.castle)
bigger
Castle Game Extension
-
2 on 2, two hits per team
-
pass to partner and partner trys
to hit cone
-
opposing team lets ball bounce
then they try to hit cone after two hits
-
communication is key
-
add the volley on second hit
Teaching Points:
-
Increasing height on ball will
increase time to recover
-
finding open space will decrease
opponents time to react
-
For extension
-
Is it easier to hit cone with
volley? (more control)
-
Then, why does the setter volley
the ball and not bump it?
